Mark Ruffalo Finally Tells Everyone Whether the Hulk Is in Captain America: Civil War
Hulk smash puny rumors.
Though the hints in his answer raise as many questions as they satisfy, Mark Ruffalo has finally commented on whether or not he and the Hulk will appear in Captain America: Civil War.
If you’d rather not know the answer, be warned: here be spoilers.
The reason for the confusion about the Hulk’s inclusion in the movie is because he was going to be in it, but now it’s been decided that he’ll sit this one out. Sorry, Robert Downey Jr. You’ve been overruled. In an interview on BadTaste.it translated from Italian by ComingSoon.net, Ruffalo explained,
The reason is too great to be revealed in this movie (Civil War) I was in the script, but then they removed my character. They don’t want to reveal where is he and why. I don’t even know if Hulk will be back soon.
So unsurprisingly, wherever the Hulk ran off to and what he’s doing there are intended to be their own seismic surprise, and that one was ultimately deemed too large for the already (potentially over)crowded Captain America: Civil War. So where do you think Bruce Banner went, and, more importantly, why and how will it impact the future of the MCU in a way Joss Whedon described as “too amazing”?
