I am a huge fan of Aziz Ansari’s Master of None on Netflix. It perfectly captures not only the ins and outs of my generation in all it’s messyawesome complexity, but it captures the experience of people of color of my generation. Well, Anzari has announced on Twitter that the show has been renewed for a second season!
From its episode called “Parents,” which focused on the relationship between American people of color and their immigrant parents to the “Ladies and Gentlemen” episode that examined feminists concerns, the show has succeeded in being an intelligent, compassionate, and progressive voice of a generation. I’m thrilled that Anzari and the rest of the cast have the opportunity to look at even more of the issues and concerns of people in their thirties figuring out how to succeed while trying to stay good people.
Also, I’m dying to find out the consequences of Dev’s big move! What happened to Rachel?! WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN NEXT?! Now, we get to find out. Woot!
But you’ll have plenty of time to catch up on Season 1, as Season 2 won’t premiere until 2017. If you haven’t already, get on it!
