AND performs with Yo-Yo Ma.

Misty Copeland went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about her upcoming documentary A Ballerina’s Tale and what it means to her speak about race. Colbert jokes that “we had a Black president before we had a Black principal ballerina for the American Ballet Theatre, it seems your job is a harder breakthrough.”

She also had an amazing performance of “Courante” from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 2 with renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

Copeland’s statements about being a ballerina and a voice of change show that she’s as wonderful as her dancing. A Ballerina’s Tale comes out October 14th, what did you think about Copeland’s interview?
