Monday Cute: Bird of Paradise Squawks Down at Sir David Attenborough, Doesn’t Let Him Talk for a Second

Recommended Videos

Sir David Attenborough’s calm, gentle, dulcet tones have gently guided us through some of Earth’s most exotic places. Here, as he tries to talk about a bird of paradise that’s dancing on a tree branch above him, that very same gentle voice is drowned out by that very same bird. It’s incredibly funny to watch him try to get through a simple explanation without getting interrupted by the bird, who keeps hopping and flapping its wings about.

What’s also funny is that between each take, there’s a loud beep noise. It sounds very much like the same noise that television censors use to censor swear words, so for a moment, you can pretend that Sir Attenborough is just so frustrated with the bird that he swears at the end of each take.

All that aside, the bird (or perhaps birb as the youths say) is super adorable. It’s wonderfully floofy and plump, and its plumage is quite gorgeous. The color of the hair-like bits on its back looks amazing, as well.
