Woman Jailed for Not Returning Jennifer Lopez Monster in Law Video
Her punishment should be watching that movie.
Remember physical video rentals? Kayla Michelle Finley will probably never forget. She was arrested and jailed for not returning a copy of the Jennifer Lopez epic Monster in Law. That’s a real thing that happened.
Finley rented the video from Dalton Video back in 2005. The store has since gone out of business, but not before sending Finley letters to demand she return the video. Eventually they went to the police and a warrant was issued for her arrest. It took years, but when Finley recently went to report an unrelated incident to the cops, they saw the warrant and forced her to spend the night in jail.
Obviously, Finley wasn’t happy. She posted to her Facebook account after being released that, “It’s obvious that Pickens County has nothing better to do. I fully intend on fighting this. It’s ridiculous that I had this happen to me.”
Let this story serve as a warning to anyone thinking about watching Jennifer Lopez’s Monster in Law.
