Trump Fires Anthony Scaramucci After 10 Days & Twitter Is Having Its Best Day Ever

The Mooch, he is loose.

Oh, Anthony Scaramucci, we hardly knew ye.

If you’re plugged into Politics Twitter (which I’m pretty sure we just call “Twitter” these days), you’ve probably heard that Scaramucci, or “The Mooch” if you’re the type of person who respects self-designated nicknames, is out as White House communications director after an incredible TEN DAYS. Hmm, if only there were some way he could have seen this coming.

Yes, the Mooch lasted 10 days. 11, if we’re being generous and counting this morning as a full day. Or maybe it was none. Had he even officially started his job yet?

What could have prompted this reportedly sudden firing? Could it have been his comments about White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon performing self-fellatio? Or maybe … no, that was probably it, wasn’t it?

Now, there are some people who don’t think everyone is treating Mooch with appropriate levels of empathy.

To which the entire internet responded:

This is a man who cashed in his previous open disdain for Trump for blind ambition. A man who texted his wife “Congratulations” when she gave birth to their child. This is not a man we have to feel sorry for. Let the jokes run free.

Remember when Trump said his administration was a “fine-tuned machine”? Remember eleven days ago when Scaramucci bristled at the press asking how he was going to get the Republicans “back on track”? Yes, everything is definitely on track. Nothing to see here.

The question now is where will Trump go from here? We know that in his never-ending quest for “ratings,” he can’t calm down now. He’ll have to one-up himself.

What do you all think Sean Spicer thinks about this? Spicer, who quit over Scaramucci’s hiring? Think he’s taking this well?

You know what, though? I’m sure both of these men–along with Reince Priebus, Jeff Sessions (if Trump gets his way), and everyone else who sold their souls (in the cases where they had one to begin with, and yes Jeff Sessions, I’m talking about you) for a taste of Trump notoriety–will be just fine. Well-connected sycophants tend to land on their feet.

Here’s hoping:

And remember, it could always be worse.
