In honor of this coming Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating ten of the best mothers from the geeky canon. Not all motherhoods are created equally — so much like divers, we’re taking into account both degree of difficulty and level of success.

Not that any of the have it too easy: You try raising a boy wizard, a superhero (or a family of them), or Luke Skywalker! (And no, Padmé isn’t on the list.)
