NASA Has a Soundcloud Account, And They’ve Filled it With Awesome Things
In space, we can all hear you, thanks to the microphones that you brought along.
Did you know that NASA, yes NASA, has a Soundcloud account, and that they’ve filled it with some of the most amazing and historically significant sounds in American space exploration? Like the engine sounds of various rockets, transmissions from Apollo and Mercury missions, lightning on Jupiter, attack shops on fire off the shoulder of Orion… well, maybe not that last one. But they do have the response of Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, to how her first shuttle launch had gone, less than ten minutes after she made it into orbit. Play it above!
And check out the rest of their account here. I want your beautiful remixes on my desk by Monday.
