Neil deGrasse Tyson’s Troll-Heavy Thoughts on Star Wars: The Force Awakens

I love a good scientific take on a sci-fi movie as much as the next nerd, and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson usually has some helpful insights. Usually. Sometimes, he’s just trolling about a movie wherein people can feel each others’ presence and move s*** with their minds.

So here are Tyson’s thoughts on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which I believe fall firmly in that latter camp:

And then there was the requisite stuff about parsecs being a measure of distance and spaceships not actually making sounds in space, because science. There was also this, which is absolutely fake, but I wish very much that it were not:

I guess Tyson’s troll game still has some room for improvement. In the end, though, Star Wars is all about family:
