Neil deGrasse Tyson is on another Twitter spree, and this time it’s about Back to the Future. He’s been running through a score card of sorts, featuring all the rad future inventions shown in Back to the Future II. Some of the confirmations seem almost… hopeful, as if to say, “Yeah, we totally got that. We are living in the future.”

He’s having fun on Back to the Future day. And really, it’s interesting to see how past visions of the future line up with the world we live in now. It’s a healthy dose of perspective, and it’s nice to focus on what we do have instead of what we don’t have. I swear, if I have to hear someone else say something about those gosh darn hoverboa–
