To catch you up, rapper B.o.B recently tried to explain to Twitter that the Earth was flat, and astrophysicist/StarTalk Radio host/Hayden Planetarium director Neil deGrasse Tyson did not let that ridiculous assertion go unchallenged. Then B.o.B struck back with a diss track, and we all broke out the popcorn in anticipation of the coming rap battle.

And we have not been disappointed … mostly. The above track is sadly by Tyson’s nephew and not by the man himself, but it’s a pretty solid entry. Personally, I’m torn between the desire for an end to the absolute stupidity of believing the Earth is flat and the desire for this to go on long enough for Tyson to get in on a diss track, real-life Epic Rap Battles of History-style. He already read one of his own tweets on the subject for this one, so we’re really just one step away from a full-blown astrophysics rap battle.

Come on, Tyson! Give the people what they want!
