Stained Glass Creations Make Your Favorite Nerd Characters And Symbols Shine
It Belongs in a Museum!
We’ve seen some beautiful stained glass work from geeks before but artist Judy Mascolo is a true master. Hit the jump for her glass work from the world of comics, video games, sci-fi, and more!
Mascolo appropriately refers to her stained glass creations as Nerd Glass. “I found the art of Stained Glass after the death of my husband. I literally lost myself in the cutting, grinding, and creation of unique and beautiful pieces of glass,” she writes. “My son, who develops video games, suggested that I go outside the box and do something less traditional. The suggestion was to make pieces aimed at a particular group of people like him, who walked on the nerdier side of life. Since I am also a bit of a nerd, I found the idea intriguing. That is how Judy’s Nerd Glass began.”
Here’s one not everyone will recognize easily. It’s The Beholder from Dungeons & Dragons.

Hello, Hello Kitty!
Here’s a Hellboy B.P.R.D. emblem.

And last but certainly not least, the TARDIS!
Others from Super Mario Bros, Spirited Away, Plans vs. Zombies and more on her website. And for anyone wondering, Mascolo is open for commissions. I think she may be getting an email from me soon…
