Netflix Additions and Losses for December Perfect for Staying Indoors and Avoiding the World
Hey, it’s almost the last month of 2016! While this year has undoubtedly been pretty miserable, Netflix has been there for us to provide escapism and inspiration time and time again. Nerds have a lot to look forward to for December, which is great considering how often we’ll be avoiding the world and sipping hot chocolate indoors this cold season.
Next month, you’ll be able to watch The Crucible which feels pretty appropriate for the atmosphere we’re in, as well as Barry, the movie about a young Barack Obama that looks to be a powerful send-off to President Obama in his final term. Make sure not to forget about For the Love of Spock, the touching documentary that pays tribute to Leonard Nimoy by his son, Adam Nimoy. Recent movies like the Elizabeth Wood’s polarizing White Girl and nerd favorite Captain America: Civil War are also making their way to the site for your winter days.
In TV, you’ll notice a lot of Netflix originals, including Guillermo del Toro’s Trollhunters—his long-awaited series that includes one of Anton Yelchin’s final performances. White Rabbit Project is another exciting show as it brings back many of your favorite Mythbusters alums.
As for what’s leaving Netflix, it might be a good time to give childhood favorites Spy Kids or Holes a watch before they’re gone. Also, while World War II in HD Colour isn’t the sexiest movie it’s definitely a worthwhile watch for history fans (or, y’know, anyone who cares about history).
