New Star Wars Rumors Put Clone Wars’ Nightsisters & Mandalorians In Play, Domhnall Gleeson Talks Keeping Secrets

Where one sees failure, others see opportunity.

Oh please, please, please!

The rumor comes from Latino Review, so take your prerequisite grain of salt before moving on.

Ok? Good. Their report features just a small note on possible Nightsister involvement. They write their sources tell them “a Sith Witch/Witches are in Star Wars: Episode VII.  We don’t know the name of the character(s) nor do we know if they’re loosely based on the Nightsisters of Dathomir, Dathomir of course being Darth Maul’s home world.” Considering the Nightsisters play role in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, part of the universe still OK in canonical terms, it seems odd to me they wouldn’t use them and instead create another type of witch character.

We already heard another rumor about a female villain and many turned their eye to newly cast Lupita Nyong’o thinking she might play Clone Wars’ Asajj Ventress. I’m personally hoping that’s not the case. Latino Review also says their source has told them the Mandalorians (the people Boba Fett was not a part of but wore their armor) “will make a big appearance” in the film. Sabine Wren, one of the new characters from the upcoming Star Wars Rebels, happens to be Mandalorian.

MTV caught up with Star Wars: Episode VII and Harry Potter actor Domhnall Gleeson at the media opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley theme park expansion at Universal Orlando. Of course he can’t say much about the project but he did tell them that joining it gave him concerns.

“I’m a pessimist by nature, so it’s always the worst things that come to mind first, whenever you make a decision, or have a decision to make,” Gleeson said. “So of course, yeah, you worry the way it will disrupt the way you live your life.” …

“The truth of the matter is, I was in ‘Harry Potter’ and I can walk in the street and no one bothers me,” Gleeson continued. “It’s totally fine. The only reason I’m doing ‘Star Wars’ is because the script is great, because J.J. [Abrams] is great, and because the cast are great. And that’s what you look for in any movie. So in a way, it’s just another job.”

So, no secrets, but some nice words nonetheless. However, he also told MTV just how nervous he is about spilling anything.“I’m going to keep my mouth shut until the movie is all the way out and on DVD. So I don’t upset anyone,” he said.

I think the answer is clear. Gleeson just needs someone to put the Fidelius Charm on him!
