David Letterman’s Next Guest Will Be Blue Ivy’s Father
David Letterman’s new show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction has been a fantastic look into Letterman’s own tastes as an interviewer–and as a beard grower. His subjects thus far have been Barack Obama, George Clooney, and Malala Yousafzai. With each one, Letterman uses his decades of experience as an interviewer to bring insight into his subject.
On April 6 (my birthday ahem), the newest episode with air featuring Jay Z, who is, without a doubt, one of the most prolific rappers of our generation. Even if I do make jokes about him being Blue Ivy’s father, it is impressive to realize how a man who once rapped about his experience selling drugs and being involved in criminal activity can be seen as a family man.
In just his clip we get a look at the charismatic man behind “The Blueprint” as he complements rappers Snoop Dog and Eminem on their rap abilities.
With all of Jay’s personal marriage issues having been capitalized on in his most recent album “4:44” it’ll be interesting seeing Hov in this setting, removed of any sort of excess and just talking. If anything, we’ve already learned he is the kind of man who wears sneakers with no socks.
