Blink and You’ll Miss Your First Look at Nightcrawler in X-Men: Apocalypse

@XMenMovies tweeted out a short, slightly animated video clip of Nightcrawler from X-Men: Apocalypse that you can check out here, though the original tweet has been deleted. The tweet said, “Don’t blink or you’ll miss it,” according to /Film, and they sure weren’t kidding: there was also an Instagram photo that got quickly deleted, as well.

X-Men: Retcon Days of Future Past changed pretty much everything we know about the X-Men film universe, so we’ll have to wait and see how this version of Nightcrawler differs from Alan Cumming’s aside from looking like an extra from Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Hey, the movie is set in the 80s, so they kind of nailed it, and here’s another nostalgia nod by producer Simon Kinberg from the Apocalypse set:
