Nintendo Details Non-Zelda Games They’ll Show at E3 2016, Including Pokémon Sun, Moon, and GO

Nintendo had previously announced that the new Legend of Zelda for Wii U (also coming to NX, which won’t be making an appearance) would be their only game playable at E3 2016, but they’d been quiet so far about what other games they’d be giving the world a peek at. While they’ll still be forgoing a traditional press briefing or Nintendo Direct presentation (as it seems so far) in favor of live gameplay streaming, we now know what games to look forward to.

Their first day of streaming (June 14) will still be All Zelda All the Time, but the list the company sent out this morning names Pokémon Sun and Moon, Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE as games that will appear on stream on the second day. In addition, Day 2 of Nintendo’s “Treehouse” streaming will start off with a developer Q&A for Pokémon GO, the upcoming, geographically-based Pokémon smartphone game, at 10AM PT (1PM ET).

A new trailer also debuted today showing off the brand new legendary Pokémon of Sun/Moon, which you can watch above. Although, if you’re paying close attention, you’ll notice that the Sun legendary is weak against fire (being steel-type), and the Moon legendary is weak against dark-type two times over, so that’s … an interesting choice. Anyway, you can tune in to catch all the action on Nintendo’s Twitch or YouTube channel when E3 kicks off in just under two weeks.
