Turns out the human experience can be boiled down to about two dozen cliches. It’s the only explanation for why certain phrases and mannerisms keep appearing in film and television. That’s assuming movies and television shows are meant to be a semi-accurate portrayal of life. For example, how often have you heard the phrase “it’s a no-brainer” uttered on the big or small screen?
