Aww, Poor Ann Coulter Has No One to Talk To. Boo Hoo, So Sad.

Ann Coulter stands alone.

Ann Coulter is apparently having a tough time finding friends these days. Please, break out your tiniest, most bigoted violins.

Why exactly does poor little rich monster Ann Coulter have no friends? Is it because of her extreme, ongoing racism against Mexicans and Mexican-Americans? Her opinion that we should “invade [Muslim] countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity”? Her pro-patriarchy declaration that she “would happily take 69 cents on the dollar, or whatever the feminist myth is nowadays, if I never have to pay for dinner”? Making friends as an adult can be hard, but I imagine it’d be even harder having said, let alone genuinely believed, any one of those things.

But no! Apparently, the reason Coulter has no friends is all because of Donald Trump.

At a luncheon in Florida this week, she told the approximately 600 people willing and possibly even eager to pay money to hear Coulter speak that Trump’s politics have made it impossible for her to talk to people.

“It’s frustrating,” she said. “I can’t talk to Trump detractors because, as the subtitle to my last book indicated, they’re insane. I can’t talk to the Trump flatterers because they think as soon as it comes out of his mouth, it has happened. No, he’s an excellent talker. It’s just when it comes to doing anything that he falls down on the job.”

That book she mentions is Resistance Is Futile!: How the Trump-Hating Left Lost Its Collective Mind. Of course, the book right before that was titled In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome! so Coulter has both sides of this argument covered on a personal level.

Coulter switched from the E Pluribus Awesome! view of Trump to calling him “a shallow, narcissistic conman” after he failed to be as beneficial to racists as he promised when he said he would oversee the building of a border wall paid for by Mexico.

It’s too bad because they really do have a lot in common, like their shared desire for the “total destruction of the lying media” and the fact that they’re both generally terrible people.
