One Day at a Time Gets Well-Deserved Third Season From Netflix
This is it! The news that I know I was waiting for, and I’m sure many of you were, too. Netflix has officially given its breakout Latinx comedy, One Day at a Time, a third-season after leaving us hanging for waaaay too long.
After a hilarious (and surprisingly harrowing) second season finale, the future of the show seemed to be uncertain. So much so that co-showrunner and co-creator of the series, Gloria Calderon-Kellett, was asking fans to make sure that Netflix knew how much they loved the show by rewatching it and encouraging others to watch.
HUGE favor: If you want to support me & the show then PLEASE watch & tell friends & family to watch at least FOUR episodes in the next few days. Netflix decides what gets picked up based on views. I love this show & love writing this relatable family. PLEASE WATCH! Thank you.

Fans quickly heeded the call. Myself included.
Now, we have news of the show’s renewal, two months after the end of the show’s second season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The next round of 13 all-new episodes of the rebooted Norman Lear comedy will return in 2019.” And the entire cast—Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Todd Grinnell, Stephen Toblowsky, Isabella Gomez and Marcel Ruiz—is set to return as well.
So, if you haven’t yet checked out One Day at a Time on Netflix, head on over and give the first two seasons a binge! It’s quality comedy you’re going to want in on.
