Orphan Black Fan Starts Crowdfunding Campaign For Tatiana Maslany Award

Fans Do Cool Things

Because Tatiana Maslany is an amazing actress and did not win an Emmy or Golden Globe for her depiction of EIGHT FREAKING CLONES on BBC America’s Orphan Black, one fan has decided to do something about it. Sarah Evans sent me a link to the Indiegogo campaign she started to get the actress her own special award – a Clone Club Award! “I want Maslany to have an award specifically from her fans,” she writes. “I am commissioning an artist to create a unique awards statue specifically for the fans of Orphan Black to give to her.” Evans is looking to raise just $2,000, which I think is an easily attainable goal for the series’ many dedicated fans. There will be one actual award statue for Maslany and up to three replicas for fans willing to shell out $500. Evans is also asking fans not directly send the actress info about the award, she’d like to surprise her with it. Check out more details and perks at the Indiegogo page.
