Former Quarterback Demolishes Record for Longest Paper Airplane Throw

Flying paper airplanes is an art form as old as time. Well, as old as paper at least. That being the case, it’s not surprising that the Gunuiess Book of World Records has a record for the longest paper airplane flight. You might think it’d all come down to engineering and aerodynamics, but brute force seems to be at least part of the equation, since the man who just shattered the previous record by 19 feet and 6 inches is a former quarterback. Joe Ayoob, the former quarterback in question, accomplished the record setting 226 feet, 10 inch throw last Sunday in an airport hanger at McClellan Air Force Base outside Sacramento, blowing away the previous record of 207 feet, 4 inches.
