Let the Women of Party Over Here‘s Mansplaining Hotline Be Stupid So You Don’t Have to Be

PARTY OVER HERE | Mansplaining HotlineTake a break from mansplaining and watch last night’s Party Over Here. That way, you’ll have more to mansplain about.

One of our favorite new shows is FOX’s late-night sketch show Party Over Here! Executive Produced by The Lonely Island and starring Nicole Byer, Jessica McKenna, and Alison Rich, the show is an awesome blend of pre-filmed sketches and bits filmed in front of a live audience. In Saturday’s episode, the women of Party Over Here took on mansplaining in an amazing way.

In “Mansplaining Hotline,” the show takes the idea that men “get off” on explaining things to women to a whole new level as the trio portray the women at the receiving end on the hotline, fielding calls from men who need to “actually” them about everything – from sports, to politics, to “Men’s Rights.”

But if you really want to laugh, check out the comments on the video over at the Party Over Here Facebook page:

But you know what? They’re absolutely right, these two. Hell, there was a woman on the page who totally “femsplained” (I guess?) the sketch:

So, you know, despite the fact that there have been studies about how women are disproportionately interrupted in the workplace, and despite the fact that the reason why it’s called “mansplaining” in the first place even though women sometimes engage in the same behavior is because men tend to do it more often (and specifically to women, not to other men. Meanwhile, women also do it to other women, as you see above, because we’re conditioned to be pit against each other), these women are clearly so wrong about this and have no business making such false claims on a sketch comedy show.

Please, go on telling them how wrong they are about their own experiences. You’re not an example of the very thing they’re talking about at all.
