Pee-wee’s Big Holiday Gets a Release Date and Rube Goldberg-y Clip
Man, Paul Reubens has aged really well.
Pee-wee Herman fans take note: Netflix just released a brand new clip for Pee-wee’s new upcoming movie, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday. It’s about as wacky and Rube Goldberg-y as you’d expect from a Pee-wee Herman movie. To be completely honest, I’m not sure what to expect from this movie, but for some reason, I’m pretty excited to see it.
According to the Pee-wee Herman blog, it’ll be premiering on March 17th at SXSW in Texas, to be followed by a wide release on Netflix the following day. Exciting, no? Here’s an official description from the blog, as well:
The new film stars the beloved fun-loving hero of TV, stage and film, ME!! In Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, a fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger inspires me to take my first-ever holiday in this epic story of friendship and destiny. The film stars me (!), Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike XXL), Jessica Pohly (Stalker), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and was directed by John Lee (Wonder Showzen, The Heart She Holler). Paul Reubens and Paul Rust (Comedy Bang! Bang!, Arrested Development) wrote the film, that was produced by Reubens and Judd Apatow (Trainwreck, Bridesmaids).
What say you, folks? Are you excited to see Pee-wee take a holiday?
