Pennywise the Clown Runs the Worst IT Department
This sketch from the Late Late Show is very silly, but it’s also very dear to my heart as someone who has had to deal with writing It as a movie/book title, along with the name of a murderous fictional entity, at work. It just never sounds right, no matter how clear you try to be, with the eventual choice being a tradeoff between clarity and awkwardness.
You see, Pennywise doesn’t actually run the IT department; it’s all a mixup. But honestly, his rebooting suggestion is pretty much step one after checking to make sure the computer is plugged in, so he might have a budding alternative career here.
If you actually are looking for more Pennywise in your life, not just the information technology department, there’s a director’s cut of It coming with the movie’s home video release, and it’s expected to come with fifteen minutes of extra footage. CinemaBlend has a rundown for you horror fanatics on just what that extra material will likely include.
