Peter Capaldi May Stay After Steven Moffat Leaves Doctor Who
Or, he may not.
There have been rumors right and left as to whether or not Peter Capaldi will remain the Doctor after Steven Moffat leaves Doctor Who in 2018.
Today, the Radio Times has confirmed that Capaldi has indeed been asked to come back for new showrunner Chris Chibnall’s first season. However, Capaldi doesn’t seem sure as to whether or not he will accept the offer.
Says Capaldi:
I’ve been asked to stay on, but it’s such a long time before I have to make that decision. Steven’s been absolutely wonderful, so I love working with him. Chris is fantastic, and I think he’s a hugely talented guy.
I don’t know where the show’s gonna go then. I don’t know. I have to make up my mind, and I haven’t yet. As Steven will tell you, it’s very difficult to say goodbye.
I suppose we still have the better part of two years before any of this impacts our Whovian lives, but AAAAARRREFKHAODAONFAHFDFAGH!
Personally, I would love to see Capaldi continue on as the Doctor and see how he’d work with a new companion and showrunner. I’ve fallen in love with Peter Capaldi’s Doctor!
