Captain America Writer Would Really Love to See Peter Dinklage As Modok
I Guess I Can't Argue With That
Christopher Markus, a co-writer of this summer’s Captain America: The First Avenger, is getting a lot of ideas about a possible Cap sequel, and one of them includes one of the hero’s biggest foes, MODOK. But who could play a Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing? Markus says Peter Dinklage is our man. Hmmm.
While Marvel is thinking more along the lines of the Winter Soldier or another romp through World War II, Markus is really, really wanting to do a story with MODOK. But he is having a bit of trouble winning other people over:
“I love MODOK and I think you could make a terrifying movie with MODOK but nobody seems to be on my side at the momentum.”
And he would also really, really like to see Peter Dinklage in the role:
“I will win you over to Peter Dinklage as MODOK. If he came around the corner and you saw him floating there you would be terrified. It would be amazing.”
Now, Dinklage kicks ass, no doubt. Especially since he’s been playing Tyrion Lannister on HBO‘s Game of Thrones. And honestly, because of this role alone, he’s probably at the point where everyone wants to see him in everything. So, let’s leave this option open, shall we?
