Peter Jackson Might Direct Episode of Doctor Who Maybe Sorta, Announces via Adorable Video
"I'm The Doctor." "Who?" "Exactly."
This was an interesting weekend…

In what will perhaps be the most adorable announcement-not-announcement video you’ll see all day, Peter Jackson mused on directing an episode of Doctor Who in a… skit? Sketch? Or maybe even… a real life video featuring him and The Doctor–err, Peter Capaldi. The video was posted on Jackson’s Facebook, and stars him, his daughter, and Capaldi. We’re almost 78% sure this is Jackson just trolling some Who fans.
Eagle-eyed viewers will also note that he’s trolling some Tolkien fans what with the bookmarked version of The Silmarillion lying on the table next to the Academy Awards.
Honestly though, props to them for this one take shot. Superb acting all around. Does anyone else feel like they’d want a bewildered Capaldi-as-The Doctor wandering into their apartment? No? Just me? Okay.
Whether this actually means he’s directing an episode of Doctor Who or not remains unclear. What’s certain, however, is that if he’s the one who directed this video, then it’s going to be hilariously on point. I just can not wait for Lord of the Rings-style excessive epic walking scenes.
The Doctor walks to Gallifrey for 10 minutes… The Doctor walks through the Tardis for 15 minutes… The Doctor walks to the corner store for some milk for 20 minutes… oh, the epicness.
