The Internet Wants Danny DeVito to Voice Detective Pikachu Because Of Course It Does

Recommended Videos

The internet comes up with the weirdest stuff sometimes. Did you catch the preview for Detective Pikachu, which is basically Pokémon meets Sherlock? Of course you did, you’re on the internet, how silly of me to ask. Well, you should already know then that Pikachu’s in-game voice (yes, he talks) is… is… a little deep. So the internet did what the internet does and they helpfully suggested an alternative: Frank freakin’ Reynolds himself, Danny DeVito.

There’s currently a Change.org petition going around urging Nintendo, Nintendo of America, and Game Freak to at least consider letting DeVito voice Detective Pikachu. As of press time, the survey’s almost at 22,000 of 25,000 signatures needed.

So… what are you waiting for? Sign the damn thing.
