Did you know that gravity isn’t the same all over the Earth, because planets are complicated?
The Potsdam Gravity Potato (really) is a visualization that demonstrates where on our planet the gravitational field is strongest and weakest, which can reveal density differences under the planet’s surface.
It’s not actually what the Earth would look like without water, but it’s a great reminder that our seemingly solid and uniform planet is actually a strange and alien place in its own way.
