The Real Minority Report Interface

Recommended Videos

We all want Tom Cruise‘s interface from Minority Report, right? Right. Don’t deny it.

Well, John Underkoffler would like you, or at least TED, to know that he thinks that it’ll be here within the decade.  Why?  Because he designed it for the movie, and has spent eight years making it real and marketable.

While we’re not quote convinced by Underkoffler’s insistence that the diverse elements of his system will become commonplace in both retail computers and architecture, the moment he turns around hand starts directing three enormous screens with simple hand gestures is still momentarily stunning.

Kinect?  You’ve got some work to do.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
