Rey Shows off Her Piloting Skills in Star Wars Forces of Destiny Episode 2

Recommended Videos

While we wait impatiently for more Rey in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Disney is filling in the gap a bit with Forces of Destiny—as well as some gaps in The Force Awakens, during which their Rey/BB-8 story arc takes place. The first episode saw the pair handle a nightwatcher worm with some suspiciously Force-like senses on Rey’s part, but they’ve also got some bandits to deal with.

Much like in real life, BB-8 is quite the popular droid. Whereas the first episode showcased Rey’s combat skills, this one gives us more of her piloting prowess, and together they do a pretty good job of illustrating the idea that, yes, living alone among bandits, salvage, and dangerous wildlife will, indeed, result in the accumulation of some pretty useful skills. This is the life we all pretty much imagined Rey living on Jakku.

The two Forces of Destiny episodes so far have kept things simple, but we’re definitely looking forward to seeing what they do with other characters like Leia and Ahsoka Tano, especially with Disney’s insistence that everything Star Wars now fits into and is canon.

[Update:] Actually, here’s some Leia right now!
