Survey Says 17% of British Humans Are Totally D.T.F. With Robots
Or maybe they're just super into Daft Punk?
A recent survey was conducted to measure human opinions on robots in society, and one of those opinions was that 17% of those surveyed said they would have sex with a robot, and they might have to — 15% of respondents of another survey said that technology is killing their human-on-human sex lives. Thanks a lot, technology.
The survey was conducted by Middlesexwithrobots University and it asked 2,000 British people a variety of robot-related questions. Besides the 17% of participants willing to let a robot defrag their hard drive, 11% of respondents said they would like to have a robotic child. The report we saw on the survey doesn’t make it clear whether that 11% thinks they can get a robot child by swapping 1’s and 0’s with a robot, but we’re pretty sure that’s not how it works.
In opposition to the 17% of folks ready to boot up their floppy drive with an android, 41% find the idea of human-on-robot sex (or robot-on-human, whichever you’re into) “creepy” and 14% don’t think robots should be used for sex at all. Not even a little?
One participant of the study told The Daily Beast, “I’m just glad I got into a relationship before sleeping with C-3PO became the norm.”
Please. Like you’ve got a chance in Mustafar with C3PO. He’s a freaking God on Endor. He’s not just going to bed down with some random dude in another galaxy far far away.
