There are many different ways to celebrate Star Wars Day. May the Fourth can inspire a host of fun activities, from re-watching your favorite films, to picking up some new Star Wars comics, to throwing on your Chewbacca mask and grabbing a glass of blue milk with your fellow Jedis. From cosplay to fan art to tributes to our favorite stars, there are many ways to celebrate and remember the cultural impact of what is arguably the most famous sci-fi franchise of all time.

But my favorite, by far, is outpouring of pet cosplay dedicated to Star Wars Day. And can you blame me? Pets in cosplay is one of those purest forms of joy that everyone can get behind. Saying you don’t like seeing a pet in funny hat is like saying you don’t like ice cream or rainbows or photos of Carrie Fisher giving someone the finger.

Here are some of the best pet cosplays we’ve seen today: enjoy this gallery of fuzzballs and scruffy nerf herders.

I realize this is not a pet nor is it a costume, but come on:

How are you celebrating May the Fourth? Post pics of your pets cosplaying and tag us on social media! And May the Fourth be with you and your pet fam!
