Commence Fangirling: New Sailor Moon Crystal Images Include Mamoru and the Inner Senshi

Things are really ramping up for the premiere of Sailor Moon Crystal next week. Last night, the first episode was unveiled at an advance screening in collaboration with Vivi Magazine, and today the Japanese entertainment website Natalie has put out some officially released images from the series. Most are of Usagi, but we also get our first official look at Mamoru (HE IS WEARING GLASSES THIS IS NOT A DRILL), as well as some badass looks at our favorite Juuban middle schoolers and the “Moon Tiara Action” attack sequence.
Personally, these new images are doing a lot to alleviate my worries about Usagi’s appearance from the trailer. As gorgeous as she was, many people rightfully pointed out that her eyes seemed a bit out-of-focus in some images, but she seems pretty on point here for the most part. And look at my girls. I am having feelings about that Minako screencap, y’all. She looks so serious and worried and I just want to give her a big hug and talk to her about boys like normal schoolgirls who don’t have to worry about duty and leadership and stuff. IS IT JULY 5TH YET.
