15 Pieces of Jill Thompson’s Pitch Art For A Never Made Sandman Movie Trilogy

Jill Thompson, who also did art for the comic series prepared a number of watercolor paintings for its pitch presentation, to help communicate to movie executives what the visual tone of the story (planned as a trilogy of films) might be like. The movies never got made, but Thompson’s original art for each picture is available for around $800-$900 each on Cadence Comic Art.

I’ve picked out a few of the less spoilery or foreshadowy ones to feature here, but if you’re a fan who’s already finished the series, you’ll undoubtedly love seeing the rest.
