Shark Tank might not necessarily be in The Mary Sue’s niche, but Mikaila Ulmer sure is.

The $10-year-old Texan is the proud founder of BeeSweet Lemonade, a lemonade business that donates a portion of all its proceeds to honey bee conservation and was inspired by a recipe given to Mikaila by her grandma.

Black Enterprise explains,

After two bee stings, her parents encouraged her to research why honeybees were critical to our ecosystem. The young mind grew fascinated. Not long after, Great Granny Helen mailed Mikaila a 1940s cookbook containing Granny’s flaxseed lemonade recipe. The light bulb went off and little Miss Ulmer was inspired to make something that would help honeybees and use Great Granny Helen’s delicious recipe. BeeSweet Lemonade was born.

Shark Tank‘s notoriously intimidating investors were quickly sold on the company, with FUBU CEO Daymond John investing $60,000 for a 25% stake, allowing BeeSweet to make larger batches of lemonade and meet its growing demand.
