Sherlock’s Victorian Era Christmas Special Gets Trailer, Upcoming Theatrical Release

Recommended Videos

Doctor Who‘s 50th anniversary theatrical simulcast for Day of the Doctor was a huge success (and a lot of fun to be at), and another Moffat-run show is following suit: Sherlock’s Victorian-set Christmas special will come to movie theaters.

The specifics aren’t nailed down yet, but Moffat confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that the special will be ready in “the next year, we hope,” according to Deadline. It’ll screen on currently unannounced “select theaters” around the world, so cross your fingers that there’ll be a location near you.

If not, I see a Sherlock-themed road trip in your future … which actually sounds like a lot of fun.
