Short Film Apollo Pays Tribute to Space Missions by Animating Photographs

Recommended Videos

Chris Coupland created a short film in tribute to the NASA Apollo Program space missions. The tribute is made entirely of still images from the Project Apollo Archive, which he separated with Adobe Photoshop and then animated in After Effects. The sense of movement and parallax he created with flat images is blowing my mind.

Coupland also incorporated snippets from the NASA Audio Collection, which really bring it to life and make it a mesmerizing watch. It’s really awesome to see the Archive used for projects as cool as this. You might even say it’s outta this world.
