Sleepyheads, it’s been a long few months since the season one finale of Sleepy Hollow, my favorite new show of 2013. But now, at long last, we have just over a week to wait until the insanity of time-traveling Revolutionaries, automatic weapon-wielding Headless Horsemen, Founding Father name-checks, and amazing female characters (OK, that last one’s not insanity, but it’s pretty freaking cool) comes back into our lives.
In these pics from the season two premiere, titled “Hellfire,” Ichabod has a crossbow for some reason? Abbie looks ready to rip supernatural tomfoolery a new one. And there’s Jenny Mills (Lyndie Greenwood), promoted to season two regular along with John Noble’s Henry Parrish! You bet your bippy I’ll be recapping when the show comes back on the 22nd, but until then, let’s relive Captain Irving’s legendary axe dodge in gif form:
