Boys can be Wonder Woman! Girls can be Spider-Man!Four-year-old Ellie Evangelista was told by the boys at school she couldn’t be Spider-Man. So the most adorable (and progressive) march was born. http://thebea.st/1RYXBQi.

Last week, we wrote about Ellie Evangelista, the 4-year-old whose neighborhood planned the inaugural Uptown Superheroes March as a show of support after boys at school told her she couldn’t dress like Spider-Man; judging from this video, the event went off without a hitch.

It’s awesome to see so many adults emphasizing not only that girls should be free to identify however they please but also that boys shouldn’t be restricted by gender norms, either.

Hopefully we’ll see all these superheroes again next year!
