It Was Only A Matter Of Time Before Somebody Mashed Up Star Wars and Suicide Squad, Right?
Can we call this team the Star Squad?
If you think about it, Star Wars isn’t that far off from Suicide Squad in basic premise: a group of ragtag individuals, including scoundrels and individuals from far corners of the galaxy, band together to stop greater threats.
Given that the response to the Suicide Squad trailer set to the tune of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” was so positive, well, it makes sense that someone out there on the internet would see just how well some of that fun music fits when placed alongside footage from the Star Wars films.
YouTuber The Unusual Suspect did just that, giving us a trailer of the original trilogy of Star Wars movies set to several songs that have been used to promote Suicide Squad, including “You Don’t Own Me” and “Ballroom Blitz”:
The best thing about this mashup trailer is how well it highlights the humor of the original trilogy of Star Wars films and in ways that a different edit may not have been able to accomplish.
