Star Wars VII Speculation Reaches New Galaxies Of Implausibility – Will Darth Vader Return?

Rumory

Who’s writing? Who’s directing? What’s it going to be about? We have the answer to one of those questions so far. Michael Ardnt is currently writing the script to Star Wars VII. But as rumors go, this one was probably inevitable. Sources are saying they might try to bring Darth Vader back from the dead.

Sorry if I spoiled Return of the Jedi for you just then. Now, take this with a giant grain of salt as the news comes from Express, who have their news from “industry insiders.”

“He’s an integral part of the franchise. Replacing him is virtually impossible,” said the source. “The plan is for him to return and play a significant role in the new films.”

So…how would that work exactly?

“This is science fiction remember,” said the source. “Darth Vader will rise from the ashes.”

Well sure, that could happen. Anything can happen really. But should it? I think most fans will give a big no to that one. Though looking at it from outside my own fan bubble, I can absolutely see why they’d do it. Darth Vader IS Star Wars. We know there are plenty of bad guys out there but he’s the one everyone knows and loves.

What do you think? Should Vader be resurrected or left alone?
