If you’re unlike me, and your gaming rig isn’t directly next to your television, then Steam’s Big Picture is probably an exciting prospect. It optimizes and throws Steam onto your television, so you can game from the couch or your bed without having some kind of elaborate tower setup. It also allows for a controller, so Steam is more easily navigable without the frustration of balancing a keyboard and mouse on your lap, or pulling out the dinner tray. Possibly best of all, Valve claims Big Picture sports a “web browser for the TV that doesn’t suck.” The beta releases today, so give it a go sometime.
