Steven Moffat Reveals How He Came Up With Doctor Who’s Weeping Angels [VIDEO]

When the Weeping Angels first appeared on Doctor Who, it was in the episode “Blink,” one of those one-offs that didn’t connect with the overarching plot of the season and barely featured the Doctor. And they scared everyone stiff. They’ve since become recurring villains on the series and are set to play a major role in Season 7 (starting September 1st!). I know showrunner Steven Moffat has talked about them in length but I’m not sure I’ve ever heard how he invented them. Here he is telling us just that. And also a few words from new producer Caro Skinner about what it’s like to join the team. At least when Moffat let’s her get a word in edge-wise.
