Updated: James Mangold Planning Yet Another Wolverine Movie; Rumor of Storm Cuts From Future Past
Mutatis Mutandis
It’s like a microcosm of Hollywood’s different attitudes towards male and female superheroes!
The Storm thing is almost certainly just a rumor, however. The information comes from an unnamed source of the New York Daily News, which, if you’re not from the area, is a tabloid paper. An old, venerable tabloid, but still.
Berry has admitted that her part is less action-y than in her previous appearances as the character in the first three X-Men films, due in part to her being pregnant with her second child at the time of filming. And we’ve already heard that Anna Paquin’s appearance as Rogue, already limited to one scene, was cut from the film. So it doesn’t seem implausible that another mutant would wind up on the cutting room floor.
But there’s something about the rumor, particularly the part about the studio not telling Berry until after the premiere, that rings very unlikely.
Meanwhile, on the work front, a source who was on the set of “X Men: Days of Future Past,” tells us Berry, who plays Storm, was cut out of every scene but one in post-production… “She only has one line in the whole movie,” our source says. “They’re not telling her until the movie comes out.”
So, possible, but definitely take it with a grain of salt. Update: Bryan Singer has confirmed, reports of Storm cuts were greatly exaggerated.
“@digitalspy: @bryansinger are the rumours about Storm being cut down to just 1 scene true? :(” No.

Meanwhile, James Mangold, director of The Wolverine, is already talking about making a third Wolverine movie, although Hugh Jackman doesn’t want to move forward with it until they come up with a great enough idea. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, guys. Here’s your idea, guys: Jubilee. Come on. Make The Last of Us with mutants.
