Subscribers, Don’t Miss Our Next Live Chat!
Here at The Mary Sue, one of our favorite subscriber benefits is the editor live chat. That’s when our editorial staff gets together over video chat and talks about anything and everything that’s on their minds, live, directly with subscribers—who can jump into the conversation in the stream’s chat box to ask us questions or tell us what they’d like us to talk about.
It’s a good time for everyone. Our staff gets to unwind and talk to each other face-to-face, which we don’t always have time for, since we’re scattered all over the country and spend most of our time diligently writing the very articles that you read on this site. Subscribers get their own, personal, live edition of The Mary Sue, as well as answers to all their burning behind-the-scenes questions.
But it’s most fun when we have a lot of participation, so we’re trying to make the live chats easier to participate in for everyone. We recently asked for your feedback on how we could do that, and one of the most common responses was that the chats have been scheduled at inconvenient times, typically in the middle of the afternoon.
With that in mind, we’ve set this month’s chat for 7PM ET/4PM PT on Tuesday, May 15. Subscribers can find the link they’ll need to get involved in their daily subscriber newsletters—we’ve mentioned it a few times already, but in case you missed it, check the Monday or Tuesday newsletter.
If you’re not a subscriber, you can get in on the fun by heading over to our subscription page (right here) and signing up for your own Mary Sue membership. In addition to live chats with the editors, buying a subscription gets you access to an ad-free version of The Mary Sue, along with a subscriber-only daily newsletter that goes beyond our standard newsletter’s direct email delivery of our articles, with behind-the-scenes updates and insight into the stories our editors are watching each day, as well as what we’re looking forward to on the horizon.
Even better, the more subscribers we have, the more freedom we have to tune out the internet click race and focus on the stories that really matter to us—and you. If you want to help make The Mary Sue a better place and pick up some fun bonuses in the process, we’d be grateful for your support.
