Two episodes are all that stand between us and the end of Supergirl Season 1. Can you believe it? Well, once we find out what freaking “Myriad” is, the S1 finale, titled “Better Angels,” will air on April 18th. CBS has released some preview images from the episode, which you can check out in the above gallery!

Here’s the official description of the episode:

“Better Angels” – Supergirl is forced to do battle with an unexpected foe and must risk everything – including her life – to prevent Non and Indigo from destroying every person on the planet, on the first season finale of SUPERGIRL, Monday, April 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

So, we know that they’re getting back around to the weirdness that is Non and Indigo (whassup, Laura Vandervoort!) — seriously, did the implication that they’re a couple not creep you out a little? We also know from the photos that Helen Slater’s Eliza Danvers will be returning. And we know that this episode will likely find some way to break our hearts. I’m getting that mostly from the photo of everyone giving a toast around the dinner table, and that excruciating photo of Supergirl kissing J’onn J’onzz’s forehead. I don’t know what happens, but anything that prompts that is bound to make me at least tear up a little.

Now, Supergirl‘s ratings have been all over the place, but there’s still reason to hope that we’ll be enjoying a Season Two! While it hasn’t been officially renewed, all the high mucky-mucks at CBS are making statements like this that are pretty much like, “Um, yeah, we had five new shows this year, and they’re all coming back. Relax.” So relax I will.

What’s more, this week’s Supergirl/The Flash crossover episode was Monday’s highest-rated scripted series among adults aged 18-49, which are the show’s highest ratings in that demographic in seven weeks, and its highest ratings overall in five weeks, according to a CBS press release. Supergirl definitely got some new eyeballs in all that, and if “Worlds Finest” didn’t make them want to come back for more … well, then there’s something wrong with humanity.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.
