Superhero origins are often frightening or humbling, and I think that’s what we love about them. We love the idea that an ordinary human being can become something extraordinary. We love the idea that even gods and aliens can find kinship with humanity. I see those qualities reflected in Khoa Ho’s “Superheroes – Past/Present” poster series, and I admire how simply that effect is achieved. Click through for a sampling of his work. Prints are available at Hero Complex Gallery.
