First Clip of Genndy Tartakovsky’s Sym-Bionic Titan

Recommended Videos

After a haitus of more than seven years, Genndy Tartakovsky is finally returning to the realm of television animated series with his new show, Sym-Bionic Titan.

As Wired puts it:

Its sci-fi story of three aliens — plucky princess Ilana, her soldier protector Lance and their level-headed cyborg Octus — hiding out in Illinois from space mutants sounds like child’s play. But once they attract intergalactic assassins to Earth, Sym-Bionic Titan instantly transforms into an adult-oriented intergalactic smackdown that levels everything from skyscrapers to military battalions in its action-packed path.

After Clone Wars and Samurai Jack, we can believe that these simple parts will add up to a mature and visually stunning masterpiece.  Video, and a quote that will be of special interest to any fans of the puny samurai warrior, below.

First the quote:

Wired.com: Please tell me you’re still involved in the Samurai Jack film that J.J. Abrams‘ company Bad Robot is working on.

Tartakovksy: Luckily, I am involved with the Samurai Jack feature with Bad Robot, which I think is great! We’re currently in the writing and development phase.
